I have worked in the HR Management area most of my career; however I do not have a BS in HR, I find this is hampering my growth. I am a LPN and have a 2 year degree. My experience has allowed me to gain some very important and valuable knowledge such as, Certification in HIPPA, COBRA, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and many others. The last position I had as a HR Manager was three years ago when the company sold and moved to AK. At that time I went to work as as Nurse/Office Manager. In this position I am responsible for all HR aspects of the company, accounting and nursing. During the last position I had the opportunity to actually write a PDS for out insurance plan, administer benefits, create an employee handbook, and implement a safety training program just to name a few. So I say all of that to ask is there some way to get on the fast track of completing a BS in HR or will my experience qualify me for a challenging position? It does seem to me that I may have been over-looked due to the BS in from of my education. Any information you can provide will be most appreciated.
Sincerely,
Karen Wilkes |
