Description
Organizations looking to model their workforce for the future first need to have an understanding of their past. Join Duncan Scott, Senior Consultant of Workforce Analytics and Workforce Planning as he walks through the best-in-class methodology of workforce planning leveraged by over hundreds of organizations. Starting with an overview of the five step methodology, the presentation highlights the journey from the development of a scenario, to the business decisions of necessary demand and expected supply. From there, delta gaps can be used to help define potential future risks for organizations, and ultimately can be tied to financial ramifications (or ROI) for the business as a whole. Participants of the session can expect to learn:

- who should be running the Workforce Planning process internally
- how to determine the necessary data needed to create a successful forecast
- how to model meaningful scenarios that span both growth and contraction possibilities
- how many people will I need in my critical job roles to be successful over the next three to five years
- how can we make this relevant to the business as a whole? To move this just out of Human Resources?

Leveraging case studies and actual data, the one hour presentation will highlight the successes and challenges of firms that have rolled out a Workforce Planning process. Starting with the change management process through what-if financial modeling, the session promises to be an encompassing look at the process of workforce planning today.
